Racism will never go away until we stop talking about it.
Now that's not to say that we should forget our history. But if we continue to make a big deal over what happened so many years ago, and continue to practically worship the people who gave their lives to change it, we will never move on. And until we can move on, the hate and anger from our ancestors still lives in us.
You're free now. Get over it.
This is not meant to offend anyone who is black or is related to someone who is black (or however you like your skin color referred too). I'm just saying… if we had a white history day, we'd never hear the end of it. why is that, do you think?

I agree. I understand the struggle that those of a certain race went through...but a few things bother me.
1. Blacks/African Americans still use that part in history as some sort of pity card. I get it...your ancestors had it really bad...but you don't. You have no idea what life was like for them...you can't because it is a different world now.
2. I may be wrong...but there is not a day or special part in history class for Asians. They have had a lot of horrible things happen to them to. Oh, and with reverse discrimination, you definitely can not focus any attention on "white" history or have a special day for those who are only "white". You would automatically be labeled as a white supremacist/extremist or racist.
We shouldn't have days dedicated to things such a race. It only alienates people and keeps people from moving on.
